Membership Options
Equipment rentals and access to the editing suites. We have reciprocal arrangements with many artist-run organizations which will allow you to rent equipment and/or access members’ rates for training and workshops at other centres in Toronto or across Canada (subject to availability). Members can access all events a a discounted rate and get access to select equipment for free. Members are also eligible to apply for our discounted group health coverage (health, prescription medication and dental benefits).
Authorize up to three people from your organization to book out equipment or access services such as editing, sound editing, closed captioning, described video, colour correction or DCP production. Organization members can access creative technical services which can include installation of presentation equipment such as monitors, projectors, media players, and speakers or help documenting in 360 Video or access to VR equipment. Technical inquiries are free of charge. Technical work is extra.

We offer services in production, post-production, and gallery exhibitions to foster the growth of experimental media art.
What types of memberships are available?
We offer three types of membership:
- Student & Senior: For students or seniors interested in film and media with discounted access to our resources.
- Producing Membership: For individuals actively producing media content who require access to equipment and professional support.
- Organizational Membership: For organizations that wish to support their members’ media art creation and engage in TSV’s resources.
How can I become a member?
To become a member, please start by filling out our online application form. Once submitted, our team will contact you to schedule an in-person or virtual meeting to go over TSV’s benefits, policies, and membership details.

Can I renew my membership online?
No, membership renewal is not currently available online. Please visit us in person or contact us directly for assistance with renewing your membership.
What equipment is available to members?
We offer a wide range of production equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound equipment, overhead projection, video screens and editing suites. Specific equipment availability may depend on the type of membership.
Are there discounts available for workshops and events?
Yes, members enjoy discounts on all workshops and events hosted by TSV. Some events are even free for members!
How can I book equipment?
Members will need to contact us via email at rentals@trinitysquarevideo.com with their requested rental date and equipment needs. Bookings are subject to availability.
Can organizations join TSV?
Yes, we offer an Organizational Membership that provides access to our resources, discounts, and the ability to engage in community events and activities. The organization can designate representatives who will receive the same benefits as individual members.
Do members get access to TSV exhibitions?
Yes, members enjoy unlimited free admission to TSV’s exhibitions. You will also receive priority access to opening events and special members-only exhibitions.
Can I volunteer at TSV?
Yes! We welcome volunteers who are interested in contributing to TSV’s activities. Members have opportunities to assist with events, exhibitions, and other activities.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your membership, please notify us in writing. Note that membership fees are non-refundable once paid, and cancellation may be subject to a notice period (within 30 days of purchase and none usage)
Does TSV offer any professional development or career-building resources?
TSV provides numerous professional development opportunities, such as workshops on topics like career building, networking, grant writing, and marketing. We also host industry events, networking opportunities, and offer mentorship to help members advance in their careers. Our goal is to help media artists not only succeed in their art but also thrive professionally.
Can I rent space at Trinity Square Video for my project or event?
- Yes, Trinity Square Video offers rental options for our production facilities, including equipment, editing suites, and gallery space. Members receive priority booking and discounted rates. For events, the gallery space is available for rent for exhibitions, screenings, and other media-related gatherings.
Please note that to rent space at TSV, you must provide:
- Proper Event Insurance and/or Alcohol Liquor License (if applicable).
- Coverage for security fees.
- A producer/gallery monitor, sound person day rate, and any required staffing.
- Cleaning fees for post-event space upkeep.
