Trinity Square Video is thrilled to announce our 2025 Artist Residency Program, centered around the theme of Cultural Resiliency. This residency offers artists the opportunity to explore, reflect, and create work that engages with the concept of cultural resilience—how communities, traditions, and identities adapt, survive, and thrive in the face of challenges.
We invite artists working in video, film, new media, and interdisciplinary practices to apply for this transformative residency. Whether examining historical narratives, contemporary struggles, or future possibilities, this residency provides the time, space, and resources to deepen your practice and contribute to meaningful conversations about cultural resilience.
What We Offer
Studio Space: Access to Trinity Square Video’s fully equipped production and post-production facilities, including video editing suites, cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
Stipend: A financial stipend to support your residency and project development.
Exhibition Opportunity: A public presentation or exhibition of your work at the end of the residency.

2. Who can apply?
The residency is open to local artists of all career stages working in video, film, new media, or interdisciplinary practices.
3. What facilities and resources are provided?
Residents will have access to:
- Fully equipped video production and post-production facilities.
- Cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Editing suites with industry-standard software.
- A stipend to support project development.
- Professional development and mentorship opportunities.
4. Is there a fee to apply?
No, there is no application fee.
5. What should I include in my application?
Your application should include:
- A project proposal (max 500 words) outlining your idea, its connection to the theme of Cultural Resiliency, and how you plan to use the residency to develop your work.
- An artist statement (max 300 words) describing your artistic practice and goals.
- A portfolio of recent work: up to 10 images, 3 videos, or a combination of both.
- A video (up to 3 minutes) introducing yourself, your artistic practice, and your creative journey. This is an opportunity to share your story and passion for your work.
- A CV/resume highlighting your artistic achievements and experience.
6. Can I collaborate with other artists during the residency?
Yes, collaboration is encouraged! Trinity Square Video fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where artists can connect and share ideas.
7. What is expected of residents?
Residents are expected to:
- Use the residency to develop a project related to the theme of Cultural Resiliency.
- Participate in at least one public event (e.g., artist talk, workshop, or exhibition).
- Acknowledge Trinity Square Video in any presentations or publications of the work created during the residency.
