About The Opportunity

Trinity Square Video invites emerging and early-career media artists to submit proposals for our Vitrine exhibition program, running from October 2025 to March 2026.

Located on the main floor in the hallway in 401 Richmond Street West, the Vitrine is visible 24/7 to the public — providing a platform for works that explore video, digital, and screen-based media art in a highly visible and unique context.

This is a chance to present your work directly through Trinity Square Video’s Vitrine Program, outside of our regular partnership models.

Support & Artist Fee

  • Artist fee: $600 (provided by Trinity Square Video)
  • Materials & installation support: up to $600 (contributed by Trinity Square Video)
  • Access to TSV’s production equipment and technical support during installation

Submission & Selection

  • Call opens: August 25, 2025
  • Call closes: October 31, 2025
  • Selections begin: September 15, 2025 (rolling basis — artists will be selected during the submission period)
  • Notifications: Selected artists will be contacted approximately 30 days prior to their exhibition date

Exhibitions

  • Exhibition period: October 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026
  • Each exhibition run: 4 weeks
  • Installation: Artist installs 1 week prior to their exhibition opening (with TSV technical support)
  • Deinstallation: Artist deinstalls within 1 week after their exhibition closes

Who Should Apply

  • Artists working in video, moving image, digital, screen-based, or media installation
  • Work must be silent (no audio playback possible in the enclosed vitrine)
  • Open to emerging and early-career artists based in Toronto and the GTA 
  • Artists who can install an deinstall their own work
  • Artists do not need an academic affiliation — this is a direct TSV opportunity

Vitrine Details

  • Dimensions: 54” wide x 77” high x 17.5” deep
  • Sound playback is not permitted
  • Artists are strongly encouraged to visit the site in person to better understand the space

  • Project Title (20 words)
  • Proposal / Project Description (maximum 250 words)
  • Support Materials (5 images, video stills, or silent video links)
  • Technical Requirements (e.g., monitors, projection, media player, other needs)
  • Link to Resume or CV (maximum 2 pages)
