Oliver Compton is a non-binary musician, sound technician, audio engineer and workshop facilitator based in Toronto. They hold a Bachelor of Music in performance (drumming) from Humber College. While studying at Humber College, they worked as a studio assistant in Gordon Wragg Recording Studios, assisting with recording sessions and facilities and equipment upkeep. Compton has worked closely with local artists in the live music and production scene as a freelance audio/mix engineer, technician and producer, for artists such as The Queer Songbook Orchestra, Burs, Rahael, Mac Rogers, Lane Webber and Irresponsible Purchase. Alongside their freelance work, they have worked attentively to support the Acting for Film & Television students at Humber College, as a voiceover engineer, facilitating production, recording, editing and mixing of student voice over demos for commercials and television shows. Compton continues to work as a freelance audio mixer and is currently accepting freelance audio music, film and television projects, as well as facilitating workshops in Pro Tools and Logic Pro X workflow.
